I only work a couple long days a week, so I spend a majority of my time wearing jeans around the house or wherever. Nothing too intense. The obsidians fade very fast. I’d say the thickness is about the same. Break in period much shorter than indigo, similar to graphite. These stretch way out so size down from usual cast 2 size.Got a question @Thatguyjlar. Amazing fades. Do you do office work or more physically intensive stuff with these jeans? I'm just impressed at the fades and how fast you got it too (e.g. 30 wears)
Another question is (more for anyone who can answer): how thick is the Obsidian Raw compared to JE's other raw denim like Graphite?
Just buy a card holder. You’ll figure out that likely a lot do the stuff in your wallet you can get rid of. Most cards these days you can get digital copies as well, like your car insurance, medical insurance, etc etc.i gotta lighten the load on the front pocket george costanza wallet.
How do you like the sweats? Worth copping?
I love'em. Probably would cop every color if I didn't already have too many sweats. Not sure of the fabric weight but they feel pretty close to the heaviness of the OG LA Sweats. Elastic band is tight around the ankles too which is a small detail but necessary imo so you can stack if you want. How do you like the sweats? Worth copping?
if you have a local leather crafter or tannery, you should look into checking them out and supporting. i'm from chicago where horween leather is a big deal, and ashland leather company puts out some great products using horween. i have one of their card holders in regular leather but want to eventually upgrade it to one of the cordovans.

I recently purchased a few models hunting for the perfect unit. The two that made the final cut were the Alyx cardholder & Veilances card holder. At first, I thought Veilance would be a no brainer just due to quality of leather & construction (no stitching). Truth is, because the Veilance card holder folds creating all cards to stack, it was a lot more bulky then just a normal card holder, and I couldn't comfortably get more than 4 cards in it. I could honestly get the same amount of cards in the Alyx with a lot less bulk so I went with that one. The saffiano leather was also a nice touch. I paid roughly $130 CAD for it on sale from SSENSE and highly recommend it. Check out how small/slim it is
