It’s not a very good pic but I got the standard issue sweatpants in the mail today. I normally go with a medium in Escobars and Rios but went with a small for these. The bottom conch isn’t tight at all for me so they’ll probably slide down pretty easily.

Hmmm, leather and suede Escos are I don’t know... I’m into it and not at the same time lol. One of those things I think a store visit could help convince me I need that I didn’t think I needed before. I like the idea, but then I’m worried how much wear I’d get out of a casual pant style in a non casual material. Kanye did leather sweats 4-5 years ago around watch the throne time. The suede kind of looks khaki like from a distance. I need to see these in person and try them on to make a real judgement.

Very well said. They're pieces I'd never wear but love to admire
Jackets look really good too, at least they used riri hardware on them

I didn’t even touch the price yet. I’m thinking $498 or $598. Something like that. No doubt it’s gonna be up there. Available for the guys looking to ball out.

Damn, well never mind then lol. I didn’t know we had a reference. Well there you have it. Next level ballers only apply lol
I’m always intrigued by this, who is their ideal customer? I myself am balling on a budget and I feel like a lot of you guys on here are as well. So I just don’t see anyone buying these, unless you’re an athlete or a popstar and at that point you’re probably gifted these sorts of things. ??‍♂️ And if you’re banking on people touching them and falling in love, it seems like with the recent Barneys closing and retail not doing great in general, the likelihood would be low that someone would actually get a chance to try them on. I don’t see retailers like Nordstrom stocking $2k MEN’S leather sweats

I can only assume that John is adopting some of the ethos of Visvim and other makers he aspires to be like which is to make things the best way you know how and because you want to, business and money aside. I’m sure John views himself as an artist and sometimes the things artists are inspired to create just exist, and if you value it as a consumer you’ll spend your money on it but ultimately that’s not what’s driving its creation. In the end, I would think what’s the point of it all if you can’t occasionally make some **** just because, all practicality aside. That said, you’re right. I’d be very surprised if they sell more than handful of these at the price we’re anticipating

Yeah, I can see this being a passion project. But at that end, I’d keep it small But from the looks of it, this is going to be big, lots of different pants and jackets. I’ve heard there is going to be a leather program like how they do mainline terry. The Blackmeans program would have been great if they kept it as an exclusive, but it was sold at too many retailers and eventually hit deep discounts. Hopefully they will reel this in, and it won’t bankrupt them.

My thoughts is that from the pics provided this LOOKS really nice. Leather and suede pants aren’t my thing, but the jackets look great though! Unfortunately or fortunately I have enough as it is and don’t really need jackets where I live.

This is an easy pass for me but I’m really looking forward to seeing fit pics of these pieces from you all who cop. IF you cop depending on the price from which it sounds like it’s way out of my budget lol. I’m also really excited to see where John takes this from here.

The jackets look bang average. They’re just leather bombers. Take a step back from the fact they’re John Elliott. These things are gonna be an absolute fortune.

Nothing looks worse on guys than brand new shiny leather bomber jackets

These are gonna be, what,1500 absolute minimum, and if they’re the Bogotá 2 with a cropped main and Michelin man arms they are going to look utterly ridiculous

Especially when there are similar jackets out there already for what will undoubtedly be a much more palatable price.

Washed Graphite with Talentless Bone hoodie. Really liking the fit and wash of the hoodie. I'd suggest anyone considering trying them out to go for it.
