Are you actually using them in the shower at the gym? If so, then yes you’re overthinking it
Haha, yep, for the gym shower. Thought I might be, but I also don't want to end up with some sopping wet clunkers that weigh 20 pounds and won't dry.

The “boost” sole discolours when wet in my experience, for that I wear my adilettes more for causal use, in house, resorts etc. I have a plain black pair of havianas I use for gym showers. 2 shakes and they are dry, also if they go missing it’s not the END of the world

Adidas Adilettes are pretty timeless but I wouldn’t wear them for the shower. Personally I wouldn’t want anything where moisture can collect under which happens with the straps on slides. Actually the only time I like slides is after playing sports where you still have socks on.

Just get havainias. They are cheap and can double for the times you go to the beach. Also, I don’t think anyone’s trying to flex in a community shower so literally anything that are easy and disposable will do.

edit: do not get adidas cloudfoam slides if you plan on getting wet. They’re comfortable but absorb water.

OT: Y'all got any recs for shower slides? Is the Adilette a no-brainer here?

I picked up the Nike Kawa Shower slides for the gym shower & they have worked out pretty well for me. They have drainage holes and dry fairly quickly. Got them for around $13 at Kohl's last June

If this post was made anywhere outside of a thread where $45 dollar socks of hospital quality and sweaters bordering $500 are discussed - id agree :D

Wore a plain gray Gildan hoodie today that I got for free through an event many years ago and I was like what in the hell am I doing spending 200+ on JE hoodies

Asking for gym slide suggestions is far from the craziest thing I've seen on here.
