Why are you asking him? JE addressed the midnight villain within the past few pages.

On another note I received my first pair of Escobar sweats today and am quite honestly bewildered by the sizing. I decided to go with a medium at 5"10" 145, which I knew would be slightly loose after comparing to the model photos, but I wanted to avoid the leggings look. I finally got them in today after ordering on Thanksgiving and they're huge. The waist fits tight, like I would imagine a normal pair of size Small pants fitting from any brand, and the legs are billowy and wide. Much looser than my medium Nike Tech sweats, and I had heard the opposite. I like a fitted look, but I don't even know if sizing down to a small will fix it, and I certainly don't want the waistband any tighter.

For me, it seems as though the sizing doesn't correlate throughout the brand. I have a very average to slim build and my medium villain and flash hoodies are all fitted, and my medium pants are huge. I wear a small in t-shirts. I've never considered myself to have a very oddly shaped body in any way but I'm starting to wonder.

Edit: JE has contacted me, I have measured, and it appears these pants are wider in the legs than they should be. Not an accurate representation of the mediums.

^ I would normally recommend a small at your height / weight, but with that said, those do look big. Sent you a PM.

Haha, don't mean, I take it he's completely new to the brand. But Jstrath is right, JE themselves stated a probable release date for the hoody which I can't remember, but I think it was going to be part of the first drop, sometime in mid-January? Someone chime in, been too busy with applying to nursing school so haven't been up to date.

Jstrath, the sizes don't correlate exactly with the website, sometimes they do, but for the most part, some aspect of the garment is always going to differentiate from the size chart. Not one garment of mine comes close to the sizing guide, one measurement is always off but you just gotta deal. If it's a bit baggy though it's only going to stretch a bit with more and more wear, something to consider.

I sometimes think that everybody feels they can wear JE, when that isn't true. JE does try and go for a certain aesthetic and body shape I think. My friend, at 5'5 ~140lbs bought a hooded villain in small and he looked weird in it, as an example. Case and point, I don't think JE will fit everyone exactly the way they picture it in their mind, even myself. It's hit or miss.

I'm the exact height and weight as you and I went with a Small. The small is on the snug side but it'll give out a bit. I was contemplating going with Medium but after seeing someone the same build as me with it, Small is def the way to go.

JE contacted me immediately after the post, I commend them for their efforts to make things right.

I do have a "2" sewn into the pants, but a number of the measurements are off. The waist and inseam are correct, but the thigh and knee measurements are almost two inches too wide, and the hem a half inch too wide. I'm comtemplating switching to the small, but might like the medium with correct measurements. If I only I had the luxury of trying them on. But yeah, don't take my photos as an accurate representation of the size medium fit.

@JohnElliottCo which is less damaging on the fabric, hot dry or hot wash? I want to shrink my hoodie since I've lost weight.

Hot wash - but what is really going to shrink it is the hot dryer. I don't recommend you do that though.

If you are going to try it, at least turn it inside out and zip it shut.

Be careful! Anytime with zippers with shrinkable fabric if you expose it to heat it can and most likely will create the 'wavey zipper'. Like when you wash and dry a zip up hoodie and the belly pokes out bc of the zipper. What happens is the fabric shrinks but zippers do not so it forms that wave. Is tailoring out of the question? I'd hate for it to get messed up for you, just tryin to help as i only know by making that mistake luckily with nothing as nice as JE though
