I don't know where you got that idea but JE's vision involves a lot of layering. They mention it all the time, all their pieces are intended to be layered.

JE definitely made for layering, without that obnoxious fear of god look. These aren't tall tees, but are slightly longer. Love them layered or by itself.

All of our clothing is conciously designed to layer and make sense when worn together. As a basics company at our foundation the clothing should also fit into any wardrobe.

    give us a hint please!
Was also wondering if the raw obsidians will eventually look like the carbon wash after wear and tear? I wish there were more evo and fit pics of the denim, kinda iffy on what wash to purchase, I need some everyday beaters

Yes this I understand, I think it's hard to really explain what I mean, I think a lot of people want their layers to look a way you don't intend them too.

But yes, as far as the clothing all going together and layering from the model pics I get that

But I think a lot of people are trying to make pieces something they aren't.

It makes sense in my mind lol

My specific post was directed at one person because it sounded like he wanted something dramatic.

The john elliott layering is not dramatic, it's normal layering.

Basically john elliott, you can layer but you don't have to, where as fear of god, it seems like this piece fits into this piece, can't wear that without that.(basically my point)

Btw john elliott is my favorite brand so am I in no way trying to steer anyone away, just a recommendation for those looking for a less normal layered look. I feel john elliott does it the best and perfect.

Just hate when I see guys trying to size up to make X piece longer or look like X piece instead of wearing it how it's intended. But this is all my opinion

It's not as exaggerated as things like gear of god or Machus tee. I get that. But it still layers.

On another note. Anybody with the coast in 33 or 34 feel like taking a measurement of the thigh for me. Wondering how accurate the online sizing is, and how much, if any, they would stretch in the thigh considering they aren't raw.
    Thanks

Yes sir certain piece do look nice layered together.

My point was just JE can stand on it's own piece by piece , wear as FOG you almost have to layer

Also the current measurements are on point and they will stretch a tad with wear because that's what jeans do, but nothing extreme to size down on (talking about the thigh area)
But I guess if you have big thighs go with the size that will work for your thigh.

I would just go with whatever size fits your waist accurately and your thigh area should be fine

Yeah my problem is the thigh though, not waist.
I emailed Brandi though so hopefully I hear back soon.
