Job searching..

So I will be getting my BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the end of this Spring semester. The job market is just doing so poorly and I am having a lot of difficulty looking for a job

. What sites/companies do you guys recommend me looking into? Thanks.

I would see if your school has an job posting website, mine seems to get a decent number of postings on it. Other than that you can always do monster and hotjobs and such. Also think about companies that you'd want to work for and see their websites. Looking for a job myself....maybe the career fair will work for me on Weds.

Look for the hidden job market. Find your local municipality's or economic development organization's list of local businesses. In larger areas these will allow you to search by industry, number of personnel, etc. Create a list of businesses you think would use people with your qualifications, and visit each with a resume. Ask to speak to a manager from HR or the relevant department (such as engineering or design). Be unfailingly polite to the people who greet you. Leave a resume if you can't access HR. This shows proactivity, will possibly get them thinking about adding new staff even if they weren't really looking, and, if they haven't advertised new or upcoming vacancies, will get you into a relatively small candidate pool.
