Hello all,

I'm familiar with the mainstream job sites such as Monster and Dice, but is there a similar site for start-ups?

I've found that I enjoy working for smaller companies, and I'd like my next move to be to one that has around 75-100 employees. A friend suggested going to the web sites of venture capital firms and then going to the Web sites of each company they invest in, but I would think that by now there'd be a more centralized and comprehensive site for finding jobs in smaller, younger companies.

Thanks in advance.

I've worked at two startups. Found the first one in undergrad through JobTrak, and the second through Monster. For most startups, these are the most economical ways to attract people. However, for well connected and funded startups, they might go through an employment agency. So, I'm not sure if going through a VC fund will help unless you have some specialized knowledge particularly suitable to startups. Good luck.

I think that your friend is right - the best way to find jobs with start ups is through venture capital firms.

Go to industry events and trade shows where these firms are likely to hang out and network. That is your best bet as VC firms are highly unlikely to respond to any cold calling for jobs.
