Associate attorney position. Not my first job in this field but last time I only had one suit so it wasn't an issue. But I have two suits I like about the same. Both conservative and professional, one pinstripe and one solid. Is there any rule about this? Those of you that hire people for professional jobs, what would be more likely to send the right message?

Solid is more conservative so I suggest that suit assuming it is charcoal or navy.

I think every firm is different so it's hard to say. Generally I'd go with ^.

Which do you like best?

The one that makes you feel most well-turned-out and confident will make you look best. Being the best you that you can be is far more important than having the best clothes you can pick.

This would be my recommendation, too.
