Hello Everyone,

I was just wondering since I recently bought a pari of JL Perriers, which appear to be an 8896 last (it's marked 7.5E8896), and they fit perfectly, if an 8000 last would fit similarly. Are there any other manufacturer's lasts which correspondingly would fit similarly (G&G, EG, J Weston, Bontoni)?

Thanks in advance for any and all help and happy holidays!

I have the 8000 and 8896 lasts and mine fit about the same.

Thanks Gentlement. You wouldn't happen to know how these lasts compare in G&G or other manufacturers? Alternatively, how does the JL 7000 compare?

Thanks in advance and happy holidays.

Honestly I can't tell much of a difference b/t the fit of my 7000 and 8000. The 8000 is ever-so-slightly more chiseled at the toe, but in a very nicely done sleek way. I've never owned G&G so I can't say how it compares to JL.

I normally wear EEE-width shoes, but I have a pair of Lobbs on the 8000 last in an E and they fit perfectly.

The JL 7000 is alleged to be slightly wider than the 8000, but I was unable to notice any difference on my foot when I tried a shoe made on the 8000 last on recently. I wear a UK 11E for both lasts. In terms of fit of G&G, I have to go up to a UK 11.5E for any of their lasts and I believe most people similarly report having to go up a half size for G&G compared to JL, C&J, etc.

That really helps. I'm going to start buying here and online and it's good to know there isn't a considerable difference in sizing between lasts. It's amazing what one good pair of shoes did to change my view of them.

I simultaneously curse and praise this site for getting me into expensive shoes...lol.

happy holidays!
