You expected silk or bemberg linings for $39.99 (or however much their jackets are?) I've not seen outside-Japan selection, but within Japan, I love Uniqlo basics, especially tees and windbreakers and such. I'm also looking forward to seeing how Jil tweaks those basics. Also, PG... it's JIL with just one "L."

I've been aware of this for a little while, and in spite of my lack of familiarity with Ms. Sander's overall work, I'm really interested to see how it all turns out

Uniqlo is totally on top of its game at the moment, and I'm doing as much basics shopping there as at H&M. Its Designer Invitation project yields some very attractive, cheap and (relatively) decently made product

I've been really impressed with UNIQLO - quality is much, much better than H&M or similarly priced competitors. I'll be interested to see the new stuff.
