I really like this shoe from Jil Sanders currently on yoox for 360

These shoes are made by churchs?

I like the shape of the toe and the sleekness in the side profile.
At 360 bucks, would i be better off getting something else? Could i find a shoe with this shape, very sleek, modern (??) for cheaper?

Those are Church's for Jil Sander.

I pay full price for Jil Sander shoes and would buy those at full price.

Socal,

Just curious, what do you do for a living?

I was browsing some of Jil's Lattanzi hand-mades on Saturday in the Chicago store...... the craftsmanship is first rate, but the look was a little unelegant for a $2k shoe, IMHO. Anybody else seen these in person? I was looking at the oxblood cap-toe, which is not shown in either the catalog or the website, but I think they show the same shoe in pewter or black.

Are you sure the revived Handmade line is Lattanzi?
I think they looks great. I want the grey laceless oxford.

Yes, that was part of my issue. Quality aside, the aesthetic reminded me of some Ted Baker shoes from a few years ago.

I'm sure as long as the salesman at the store was not lying. The sole and closed welt are really really beautifully done. The detail around the waist is much finer than any of the Santoni handmades I've seen. But the up-turned toe really killed it for me.
