    @ericgereghty

Not entirely sure if I get the question, right, but yes, exclusive leathers such as cordovan and Kudu will increase the price. Also a 'rubber sole with metal tip and 270 degree Goyser' would for example raise the price. Each option seperatly is already calculated into the price, but some people ask for the whole package and then the price goes up.

If you meant what a MTO for any of the three above makeups would cost more than a GMTO, unfortunately a MTO from those leathers is not possible since since the leather merchant has a minimum order quantitie. That's why we are looking into doing some GMTO's :)

Just got around to taking some pictures outdoor. Click on the image to make it larger.

Also please remember that these leather swatches are untreated (and generally cut from a bad piece of the leather). With polish the colors will become richer and somewhat darker.

Proposal 1: Balmoral boot in 6120 Inca Shaft and Blu Anilveay calf

Proposal 2: French Oxford in Mahogany Buffalo Calf and Dark brown suede. 2 confirmed (including myself :slayer:)

Proposal 3: Valway boot in 6120 Inca Grain shaft and 9231 Anilveau Calf. 2 confirmed + 1 interested

Do you have photos of any other shoes done in buffalo calf?

Unfortunately not, while buffalo is used for bespoke shoes and I'm certain some makers use it for MTO and RTW as well, I'm unable to find a picture

It's a very soft leather, thinner than the regular calf leather from Du Puy and Annonay that is usally around 1.2-1.4mm. This Water buffalo is more around 1-1.1mm. It's very supple, and it has a very faint grain. It should polish and burnish up very nice.

Now I should add that, on the entire buffalo skin, there will most defintely also be bigger marks and streaks. It's a wild animal after all, its not cultivated like the Italian or French calves :). So it's a bit of a wild card there.

I am interested, not fully committed yet, in Proposal # 2.

So that's 2 confirmed, 1 maybe, both for option 2 and option 3!

Any ideas thoughts about the models, or about what can be done with the extra leathers, are of course welcome!

Thank you sir. Answered perfectly, despite the confusing form of question.

Some more interest in model # 2 and 3 from a few Dutch members, but nothing definite yet.

It's a great deal on some very exciting models :slayer:

Update for these three beautiful Vass GMTO's (remind you that the pictures are not sample pictures, they are just to show the intended model). Through this group MTO, it would be great to introduce some leather options for Vass. A new range of French calf, genuine Buffalo leather, and more Inca Grain colors!

I'm legitimately thinking of flying to Budapest to get properly fitted in Vass so I can start buying their shoes and boots.

I actually compiled a large list / database of forum posts discussing Vass sizing compared to other makers. If you let me know your size in other makers, I might be able to determine your size in Vass!

I would be curious to see if they would take pictures of their lasts on a brannock device. I have never seen that done, but think it might provide some useful information (I could be wrong).
