I am sick of purchasing jeans on line in the exact size and model that I prefer
but due to quality control issues or innacurate descriptions, they more often
than not do not fit correctly. I do not care about selvedge or any such obsessions.
I just want a place where there is a broad selection of no "wash", no "whisker"
jeans that are low rise. My local Nordstroms and/Macys do not have what I want.
And the prices at NM are confiscatory for "fashionista' jeans. I used to wear Alberto's
but strech dominates their recent collections. The 7 For All Mankind shop in San Francisco
closed durinng Covid. Suggestions?

Self Edge would be my first recommendation, too. You also might want to try Standard & Strange over in Berkley. Though if you're unhappy about Nordstrom prices, you're not going to like either SE or S&S.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, on the basis of a cursory look at their
"jean finder", i do not think that Self-edge can fit me. No where did anything come up with
a 10"-10.5" rise. I'll call them before I go.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
