The jeans that I bought here are usually hemmed but uncut. Since I am a skinny and short man (about 5' 7, 120 lb),I found that most jeans are too long for me. I know it's ok to have some jeans bunching on the shoes, but the problem is whenever I remove the shoes to walk around someone's house, the bottom of the jeans will unravel and I would have to use my hands to raise the jeans so that I won't be dragging it.

I have cut my jeans in order to solve this problem. But any help in what length should I trim my jeans, or I should just ignore the problem and let the jeans unaltered?

I have them professionally hemmed to fall about an inch and a half bellow where I'd like normal pants to fall, and then cuff them. You might want them a bit longer if you stack.

What do you mean to get them hemmed? What's the relationship of hemming and the length of my jeans?

I've just gone with smaller leg opening. That works for me.

Hemming shortens the length of your jeans to the exact length you want. That's the definition of hemming and is the answer to your problems. It's pretty much a must these days with most raw jeans insisting on having like a 38 inseam that most people can't wear.

before you do anything, toss the jean in the washer and then the dryer with heat.
after that have the jean hemmed up level with the floor when you are bare foot.
there will be more shrinkage later.
