Hey SF,
Just got into the world of raw denim this year with the purchase of LVC 501xx 1947 stf and APC NS. However, I've been putting on weight and didn't think that 10 pounds would affect the fit that much. After all, jeans stretch, right?
Needless to say these jeans don't fit very well - in the 1947's case, they dont fit at all. I want to get away from the slim look to something more relaxed.
I'm 5'11", 185lbs - its clear my build doesn't suit slimmer jeans like the NS. I've had KMW 1980's, Sugarcanes, and Flatheads recommended to me - what's the best deal? I'd like a straight-leg jean with some space in the seat so my junk doesn't get choked. I'm all for sexy jeans but I like not having my knads crushed.
I really love the look of these FHF380's and Sugarcane's 1947's - only thing is the high rise on the 1947 is a turnoff as I like to wear my jeans just above my hips. The F380's look nice and relaxed - are they worth the dough?
I don't mind dropping lots of $$$ on good jeans - as long as the fit is good on someone with a bit of junk in the trunk. I'm not overweight, just a little bigger than your average dude. I can post NS fit pics for reference if anybody wants.
