Has anybody had their denim finished or just purchased in the raw state?

edubs - (from a fellow Philly boy) I saw some of their distressed 'finished' denim at the SoHo store and was pleasantly surprised at how convincing it was, but it's done with care, and each is unique, so ya pay a premium...for jeans that self-distruct faster.

Personally I avoid pre-distressing in all forms, preferring the 'I earned this without sandpaper, and yes, that's a mustard stain on my jeans, not what you think it is'' philosophy. But If someone held $300 to my head and forced me, Jean Shop would be my choice for hand-done distressing.

Tried a few of them when I was in NY earlier this year. They look nice but the card slots are extremely tight fitting.

I can almost guarantee you those will stretch out after a couple weeks though. I have a small leather Filson card case and it was super tight to start with because I was putting two cards into each slot. It has loosened up a bunch though and now they slide in and out wonderfully. I bet the same would be true with the Jean Shop one.

It's simple, and it will age really well I expect. A bit of a tan on it and it'll look really nice. And it will stretch and mold to what ever you put into it.

Does anyone know if the one wash jeans stretch as much as those of the raw variety?

I have a Tanner wallet, and in about a week it stretches out, I'd imagine it'd be no different with the Jean Shop wallets. Just the nature of raw leather.

Guaranteed. Same denim = same stretch. All JS denim is the same, regardless of abuse level.

    That's what I figured. Thanks a lot.

How do Jean shops fit compared to KMW? I have KMW 1980s and KMW Rockers for reference. Both are size 32. Would like a cut that this is in between these two styles. The 1980s are too loose in the seat and have a high back rise. The Rockers fit much better in this department, but they taper too much for my liking.

    thanks!

Skinnys might fit the bill for you. You'd probably need a size 30 or 31. They are a slim straight jean. but tighter than the 1980.
