I saw some discussion about this on Ask andys trad, and since it supposedly involves Ralph Lauren somehow, it could be interesting?
Any experiences of quality? Im looking at a pair of carpenter pants that looks cool, but I hate flimsey materials...

Haven't seen anything about it til now. Will have to check it out. It may take a bit for it to take off, especially with the economy being what it is, as a lot of people aren't used to heading to Penney's for higher priced clothing.

It reminds me of an American Eagle knock-off. I think they even display an eagle-like logo on their pieces. I think it's mostly junk.

I like the white utility jacket. Do you have Penneys in Sweden?

Far too much visible branding for me.

The pricing isn't high, it's Penney's level.

And it is nothing like American Eagle, it's just cheap watered down RL. Visible branding is a *****, outerwear felt disgusting, however some of the shirts seem fine enough. I have a black shawl collar sweat-shirt thingy from them, it was cheap, and the bird is black as well so you can't see it. Fit is good.

American Living is owned by Ralph Lauren. Its one of the two "budget level" brands of Ralph Lauren (the other being Chaps which is sold exclusively at Kohls)

A Ralph Lauren product development advisor came to my school and spoke about her job and the brands. She claims that even American Living is approved by Ralph before it is manufactured (like all the RL brands). She also said that you can mix and match each brand, her example was wearing a Purple Label leather jacket with American Living trousers...(i chuckled to myself silently in the lecture hall)
