Once again proving that the Japanese are superior in every way.

"old man bites tenderly" has got to be the best.

The Japanese love nothing better than inane comedy. So much the better if it borders on the grotesque, as that last bit.

Yeah, that really topped it off. But the "slapping machine" had me in stitches. The guy who got that pulled a hat trick!

along the same lines but more extreme was the show Super Jockey in the 90s. It was only shown in Tokyo but Japanese video rental stores had copies of the show on tape. Easily the funniest thing I have ever seen on tv. The amount of pain and humiliation the contestants had to go thru, just to promote their club or store for 30 sec was insane.

Oh man, I had this emailed to me a couple weeks ago. I couldn't stop laughing. I forwarded it to who-even-knows how many people. Totally brilliant.

'Ow, that hurts!', 'Why are you doing this to me!', or 'Please let me die!'."

I have, on VHS, a few episodes of the japanese game show of sorts called Za Gaman (Endurance). Some of you may be familiar with it, some may not. But its highly entertaining.
There's also this brilliant piece of "reality" television... http://www3.tky.3web.ne.jp/~edjacob/nasubi.html

    Funny Japanese video:

    http://www.breakdancingelite.com/wor...pan-pranks.htm

To enhance your viewing pleasure, keep in mind that the little circles with the Chinese characters say "ass" (shiri) when it's covering their hind quarters and "balls" (kin, short for kintama [lit., "gold balls"]) when it's covering their berries.

It's worth noting also that personal injury lawsuits are pretty much unheard of in Japan.
