No posts for a while here- so here is my contribution...A little dream project in this otherwise depressing world...

Mystery Master fitting shoes to check fit, leather crease (the Charles Stead Lillywhite suede creases differently to other leathers) the interaction with Japanese horse lining and Lillywhites, and the pattern....having a bit more drastic pattern with less brown at the lace area and back.

Cork fitting soles for those who are looking at the soles.

Final shoes due later this year...stay tuned.

Hopefully I’ll get the chance to wear these in the south of France when this virus has been defeated...

That's got to be Kiyo Uda's. He makes a toe shape which I love, and has a rather distinct look to it. The mystery fitter would have to be him or someone he trained.

Customs finally got tired of staring at my mail lol. My Santari chukkas arrived a few days ago. I can't wait for the NE fall weather!
Those soles are 😗👌🏻.

I tried to tell you boys the Santari/Skomaker last is the truth.
Looking forward to seeing the end result of our commission @Stefan88. Should be another one that is easy on the eyes.

A bunch of pics of my third pair from Main d'Or / Eiji Murata (much more in the article on the blog, kindly shared above as well). A slightly special wingtip, with more discrete single rows of punching. The leather is a reddish brown vintage box calf from the Italian tannery Ilcea. Great fit - incredibly well-made. The smoothness of the edge finishing, the distinct upper welt finishing even with the tight 16 spi sole stitching (actual stitches, not dimples, counted and confirmed), the perfect stitching and punching of the upper, the extra narrow waist, and so on, and so on. Very happy with these!

Again, much more pictures in the article here.
The shoes are just immaculately finished. For me, the welt & that transition from the waist to the heel 😗👌🏻.

Three pairs, smh. I've said it before and I'll say it again, you are one lucky SOB to have that much access to that magician disguised as a shoemaker.
