I think they might be the manufacturer for one of our forum member founded Internet only shoe line.

If my memory serves me correct, the owner did receive some bespoke shoemaking training. And the company did invite Eric Cook to consult on their factory shoe manufacturing.

They are at 神岡,台中 and do have a Facebook fan page and a blog that's rarely updated.

Yes, their shop keeper trained under Eric Cook. They also invite some `Norwegian` shoemakers twice a year or so for consultation. Then they have a number of Japanese supervising the factory on location at Laos.

They made their name as an OEM factory, and now they have their own house brand in Japan (and possibly in China and Singapore).

I've got several inquiries about the Miyagi Kogyo RTW shoes, so I scanned this image from a recent MEN'S EX.
The last is a bit banana shaped (inside straight, outside curved), but still manages to be quite sleek (with a compact almond toe and an extra tightened waist). Aka the 'Comfort Last', inspired by American comfort lasts, the arch is tightly supported, I say similar to Modified Last. Extra details, such as the rolled waist and flush welt/edge, make these quite a looker in person.

This particular model uses Shinki Hikaku's Oiled Cordovan. Priced in line with Alden, and a bit below Carmina's Shell oxfords, around $650 USD or so.

¥65,100 yen ($657 USD) incl. tax

That's my immediate thought but they are well trained.

The other day, I was talking with Mr. Hiroshi Yoneda,
    designer of The Warmth Crafts-Manufacturer.
Shinki-Hikaku cordovan have been produced over the time and effort,
difficulty of obtaining high-quality material, his impassioned appeal.
Beautiful and clear luster, smooth but rugged. Cordovan is truly "Diamond of leather".
