Hi guys, what are some Japanese RTW retailers that have an english friendly site that ships internationally? I've discovered most European lasts just don't fit my low volume/instep foot.

Second fitting by Bolero, given my too slender feet, Watanabe-san have to give me third fitting to reduce the volume of heel cup.

Anyone have shoes made by Ryota Hayafuji and willing to share the experience?

I like how the single monk looks like a sandal after Watanabe-san has sliced it. :D

Today I received the second pair of fitting shoes from Main d'Or/Eiji Murata. The shoes are made in the same leather as the final pair (just bad parts), hand welted (to be as close to the real pair as possible, to give a good feel of the fit), with cemented leather sole and properly built heels. These will be worn for a few weeks now before I visit Japan again for the final fitting session.

The shoes are very nicely made for being trial shoes, and the fact that he bothers to do things like a hand braided reinforcement stitch at the bottom of the lacing on a pair of fitting shoes is just crazy.

Initial impression of the fit is very good. Toe boxes a bit too low, maybe a tiny bit more extra space for right inner ball, a couple of other small things. Will know more once worn a while.

Thank you, Alex. I'd like things that don't suck for five hundred dollars.
