    Greetings from Japan,

Because Japan is getting into its rainy season called “tsuyu”, more and more products for tsuyu are produced these days. Tsuyu is always an issue in east Asia, so for us, rainy items are going to be necessities around this season.

Today, we are going to introduce perfect items for rainy day

    1.Frog watches

    Middle: view here
    Right: view here

Note: Copy and paste the URL on our website to buy these watches!

These are watches with frogs peering into ponds. Why don’t you take advantage of small craftsman shops in Japan and get one of a kind items with ZenMarket. Most of you should wear watch not only on a rainy day, but why don’t you wear different kinds of watches depen ding on the weather on the day?

The first watch uses Japanese characters in place of numbers. These characters refer to the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac for the 12 hours of the day.

    1 -The Ram 未 (hitsuji)
    2 -The Monkey 申 (saru)
    3 -The Bird 酉 (tori)
    4 -The Dog 戌 (inu)
    5 -The Boar 亥 (i)
    6 -The Rat 子 (ne)
    7 -The Ox 丑 (ushi)
    8 -The Tiger 寅 (tora)
    9 -The Hare 卯 (u)
    10 -The Dragon 辰 (tatsu)
    11 -The Serpent 巳 (mi)
    12 -The Horse 午 (uma)

From an ancient age, each character has held a symbolic meaning for different directions and times as well representing the animal.

    2. Airism by UNIQLO

Airism is a line of underwear in UNIQLO. Airism is made under the research of sexual difference of bodies between men and women. Airism technology is made to be breathable, silk-like smooth texture, quick-drying, and anti-odor.

    3. Unique Umbrella

    Left: view here
    Middle: view here
    Right: view here

Left: Hate rainy day? Now you know how to describe your feeling.

Middle: Outside is just like normal black umbrella, but inside is as if you are in the wood. This might lead you to open it just to look inside.

Right: Outside goes inside when folded, which means your hands won’t be wet even when you close it. Moreover, this umbrella can stand by itself, it won’t be dirty if it’s put on the ground and it doesn’t need a place to be put.

    4. Rain Boots

    Left: view here
    Right: view here

This works as rain boots and snow boots. It is made of gore-tex, which let vapor go through, but not water. It looks formal, so you may use this in business scene.

The right one just looks like a normal sneaker, but that is actually rain boots. Made of rubber.

That’s all we have for this week.
See you all on next week!

Can you tell us more about how the Olie-Shibata watches are made? I couldn't find anything online in English.
    Thank you.

Hello Chaconne, thank you for the reply! Unfortunately, the website is available only in Japanese, so I'm going to summarize and translate what is on the website.
Those watches are handmade, so it needs three weeks to a month to be made after you place an order. You can use if it's out of stock.
The face of watch is made of stained glass, brass, and quartz made by SEIKO.
Because the glass is stained glass, so bubbles might be in the glass. Also, glass might be wavy. The strap is made of leather. The strap is made of a piece of leather, so you can cut it to adjust to your wrist. You also can ask Ms Olie to adjust it to your wrist size when the strap is made if you tell her your wrist size.

[Size] diameter: 4cm, height:1cm, [length of the strap to adjustment holes] maximum:20cm minimum: 16cm [width of the strap] 2cm
(Just in case you see other watches on the website 幅:width 長さ:length 最大:maximum 最小:minimum 直径: diameter 高さ:height )
You can see other watches on: http://olie-shibata.com/

    I hope this helps!
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Hello, readers, it’s been a while! How are you doing?
Today, we would like to introduce a growing Japanese brand, 1 piu 1 uguale 3.

In 2013, 1 piu 1 uguale 3 was started by a Japanese designer, Tomohiro Ozawa, a starting member of the popular brand wjk.
“1 piu 1 uguale 3,” which literally means 1+1=3 in Italian, is a quote implying two people can perform as much as three when they cooperate. The brand concept is not to compromise about design and material of the clothes. They offer not only formal wear but also casual wear and various collaboration items.

Due to the very limited numbers of production, their goods are only available in stores in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and online. Even some items are pre-order only.

    Official Online Store: http://shop.1piu1uguale3.net/
    Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/1piu1uguale3_web/
    Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/1piu1uguale3/

    [IMG] [IMG]

    1PIU1UGUALE3 × Chaco Z-1 [black]

    [IMG] [IMG]

The materials used to make these were carefully chosen and gathered from all over the world.

It seems 1 piu 1 uguale 3 does not have English website. So, please let us know if you need any help to read descriptions or other information written in Japanese.

We’re looking forward to seeing your comments!

That’s all for today. Thank you and see you soon!

    Hello, readers.

Today, we would like to share the latest clothes from SOU・SOU, a Japanese brand we introduced last year (the post is on page 4 of this thread). SOU・SOU was started in Kyoto in 2002 and currently has several concept shops in Kyoto, one in Tokyo, and one in San Francisco.

As many of you may know, summer in Japan is hot and humid. Since a long time ago, before the air conditioner was invented, people have been trying to combat the summer by wearing original and creative summer clothes.

These are summer room wears for men. The marriage of traditional and modern design, shape, and color makes the clothes attractive, no?
    Their official online store

    upload_2017-7-5_9-35-7.png

SOU・SOU also has been collaborating with Le coq sportif. Let us show you a few of their items including the latest summer shirts and unique shape of sneakers. These items seem easier to coordinate with western style outfits.

    Hello, readers.

Although some of you may know this brand, we would like to show some items from the long-established Japanese brand, Johnbull and their the latest collection.

In 1963, Johnbull was established in Okayama, Japan. They originally produced work and uniform wear as Kanewa Clothing, but soon, they started producing “Casual Work Wear” as Johnbull.

Today, they make high-quality casual wear based on two concepts: “to respect and have an aspiration for the styles and products which have been continuously loved throughout the ages” and “to comprehensively know the significance, allure and rules of each type of clothing” (quote from the Johnbull official website http://www.johnbull.co.jp/english/index.html)

    Hello styleforum users,

Today, we are going to tell you about the brand “Issey Miyake” founded in 1970.
You have surely have seen the clothes of Issey Miyake at least once.

Do you remember what Steve Jobs wore? Yes, the black turtleneck sweater is Issey Miyake’s.
When Jobs visited a SONY factory, he saw the workers wearing a uniform. To make his employees unified, he tried to introduce a uniform into Apple, but everyone rejected the idea. As a result, he decided to wear the uniform only himself.

Miyake works in a manner that not only advances his own ideas but also cultivates skills in the people around him, constantly pushing both the tradition and the evolution of design.
His clothes are made based on the concept of “one piece of cloth” and takes much influence from kimono as well.

Issey Miyake doesn’t have an online store, but we can find plenty of used items online.

Issey Miyake’s new line “BAO BAO” with a concept of “Design is not for Philosophy. It's for Life.”

Both light and soft, it folds, accommodates and transforms itself after handling to create dramatic new shapes. BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE is a line of bags and pouches with the theme of "shapes made by chance." It features a flexible functionality perfect for busy modern lifestyles. Since its inception in 2000, it has established a unique array of products through its pursuit of intriguing shapes born out of simple pieces and diverse materials.

    Hello styleforum users,

Today, we are going to introduce a brand of “Onitsuka tiger”.
Onitsuka tiger was founded in 1949, and became very popular within 20 years after its establishment.

Onitsuka tiger started their company with sports shoes for high school students, but they were surprisingly worn by olympic athletes who won medals.

However, Onitsuka tiger was merged with a few companies, and became a new brand ‘Asics’

    1.JPG
    ⒸOnitsuka tiger

In 2002, Onitsuka tiger rebirthed as a high-quality, fashionable, and functional shoes brand.
After a few years, it became more famous when Uma Thurman wore yellow Onitsuka tiger shoes in Kill Bill.

Now, Onitsuka tiger is accepted by people of all ages. For example, people who loved the brand when they were younger, and young people who love retro style.

Onitsuka tiger has good cost performance and is cheap enough considering the material, design, and function. Let’s see what they have.

Hey guys, I've been having an issue with adding Rakuten links to the watchlist lately. It prompts me to "Add an Item" (whereas before, I could view the translated page just like with auctions). Was this change recent?

Hi, sorry for the confusion. We had to revert to this way for now, but the old method will be available again soon. For now, you can try copying and pasting just the item code into the search bar for rakuten. For example if the item url is https://item.rakuten.co.jp/frames/ralph-lauren-59-0004/ copy and paste ralph-lauren-59-0004 into the Rakuten search bar and the item should show up in the search results.

This isn't ideal I know, but we will have the normal functionality back when we can. Thank you for your understanding.

@onijo84 yeah. Seems to take a little longer than it used to, but still reliable. Got my items in 3-4 weeks for the past two orders.

Use it pretty consistently. Things seem to be proceeding as normal. The biggest hold up I experience is just the period between packing and determining shipping cost.

The biggest hold up that I typically have is in the shipment of the item to Zenmarket.
