It has inspired me to start learning Japanese. For the time being I just marvel at the pictures and follow the articles written in Romanji (Roman Characters)

Why can't someone publish an English language version of this magazine! We need it! I was hoping Men's Vogue would help fill the void but just got the current issue and it is almost devoid of articles on clothing or even interesting advertisements.

Thanks for sharing. I like this bit of wisdom from the Jodhpur page:

"No sexy shoes, no fantastic life"

Anyone else find it interesting they don't use Japanese models.

Thanks for sharing! One thing I find a tad bit amusing is that the models are not Asian...considering it's a Japanese magazine, you'd think different, but then I've never been to Japan. Looks like you can subscribe to Men's Ex here: https://www3.sekaibunka.com/teiki/select.cgi?subcode=4 But I can't read Japanese and I don't know if they even offer international subscriptions. Can anyone here read Japanese? The web site for Men's Ex is here: http://www.mens-ex.jp/

I know. There needs to be a magazine like this for English Speakers.

The Japanese magazines appear to be a mixture of The Sartorlialist's Blogsite, Style Forum, Alan Flusser's Books and Bernhard Roetzel's Gentleman rolled into one.

The Italian vogue is sometimes good, but more than 60% of the magazine would be advertisments. And some of the fashion spreads are a bit arty farty and look very suspect in deed.

I went ahead and ordered the January 2007 issue from Amazon Japan. Cost me around 3,780 Yen, which at today's exchange rate, is around $32, but that's with International Express shipping at 2-5 day delivery time as opposed to 2,780 Yen ($19) for International Economy at 3-4 weeks delivery time. A bit pricey for a magazine, but I really liked the few shots from their web site and like to see them closer, and since I called a few Japanese booksellers in my area that don't carry it, what do you do?

It does seem pricy. But 270 pages in Mens Ex and 380 pages in Leon, it doesn't compare to any magazine published stateside.

The cost for me is about $20-30 AUD to get one from one of the Japanese bookstores and includes (1-2 day express post).

It's not something I can afford every month, but I think seasonally its probably great value and keeps you update with the "latest sexy style"

Another worthy publication is Men's Club. I will order The February issue of Mens club next week.
