I know this is a total shot in the dark, but this seems to be the appropriate place to post it. Does anyone know a Japanese indigo (ai) artist whose willing to do piece work? I have a bright white sweatshirt that'd look so much better after a couple dips in those bacteria-filled vats. Although this seems like a crazy idea, I should note that I do speak Japanese and I can pay in yen, so I was wondering if anyone knew someone. Yes, I realize the obvious solution is to buy a indigo sweatshirt (and I do have a SDA one), but I just wanted to see if it's possible. Years ago I visited an indigo artist (forgot his name), but my sense is that many are fairly entrepreneurial so something like this wouldn't be coming out of left field. Anyone?

I think you'd have better luck with a question like this over on superfuture.

Thanks for the reply. I did have the sense that SuFu might be a better place for this question, but I don't have an account there. Does SuFu have more Japanese posters?

A few guys in superdenim have some good connections. Someone should be able to point you in the right direction.
