Japanese fine white shirt fabric 100% cotton

Has anyone got experience with Japanese cotton fabric? I recently bought a few meters of white cotton fabric at very reasonable price. The quality is outstanding. Very fine 180's plus. Was surprised to see it was fraction of the price of Italian white cotton shirt fabric but quality was not too different. Plan to get some white shirts stitched.

If anyone else has tried japanese cotton fabric please share thoughts. Thanks

You'll probably have to talk to your shirtmaker to determine how good is the cloth, really. I have a few shirts from Japanese fabric that I like a lot, but I wouldn't trust myself to know the quality of the cloth itself without some expert guidance.

Japan's shirt fabric industry was huge. It first grew when shirt companies were looking for lower priced alternatives to italy. But China undercut pricing and Japan's fabric production is much lower now.
Quality should be fine
