I would be interested and i'm sure others would as well if the price is resonable. Some items of interest include cordovan card case/wallets, watch straps, moneyclips, key chains, etc.

Blackplatano,

Sorry, my answer is no.
You can buy those stuff in many Japan department stores.
I may try to make a watch straps later by myself, but I don't think I would make it for sell.

The "Italian leather" in the description is suspicious. As is the price.

i think this is the standard penny loafer construction - like sebago or bass, and not a welted construction. so i could see $350 as the retail price. but j.crew's involvement is indeed worrisome.....

Just had a look of my shoe this afternoon.
It looks ok, not great. For less than US$350, I don't expect "great shoe", so it is fine for me.
It will be one of my "horse" work shoes. I will pick it up on Monday, may post some pic later.
Waiting my other horween cordovan project by Kow Hoo, I hope it will be done at the end of Aug.

You can find them in most large department stores in Japan. Even Tokyu Hands carries shell cordovan leather goods. Wallets range in price from about $300+ from what I've seen. The Lakota House in Aoyama (Alden distributor) also has a line of KT Lewiston leathergoods using Japanese shell. I've purchased a whiskey belt and a #8 bracelet from them in the past. Didn't hold up nicely or age nicely though.

Some use Japanese shell, but I've also seen many that use Horween. The ones that use Horween generally make it a selling point, even stamping the inside with the Horween logo.

+1

Isetan, Mitsukoshi, Daimaru all have Cordovan goods.
I bought my oiled cordovan sheets in Tokyu Hands.

Wow those shoes look great. I'll definitely pay a visit to Mayer when I move to HK next month. Fishball -- could you share ordering information for the hides from Horween and Shinki-Hikaku, such as how much they cost, how to order, etc.? I could not find any information about ordering hides from these sources on the net.

I email Horween directly, and they passed it to their China agent, then Horween delivered it to me by their sales manager when he went to china for a business trip via HK. The price is USD120/sheet IIRC.

Shinki didn't answer my email, and I found an internet seller in Japan selling them, however, they didn't answer my mail either. Finally I asked my Japanese friend, who wife is in Japan, she ordered it in Japan and then shipped it to me. The seller don't answer english email, they do ship it to oversea, but won't take non Japan VISA payment.
