CN-S I went TTS length and that was perfect. Width of course was a different story.

but great, now I’m anticipating that my Clinch Engineers are going to be too small. I went with Clinch 9.5/US 8.5 (S&S suggested)

I suggest calling S&S and go over this again with Neal. They are really good in sizing so there has to be something I don't understand. If it needs to be changed, they should still have time with Brass to make this update. Let them know the Clinch US 9.5 was the right length and was too narrow in the CN-S. If you need to, send them your foot length and width to verify with Clinch. I don't see how a 8.5 would fit if a CN-S in 9.5 is too narrow and a good length. My experience is the lasts at Clinch are all consistent in length.

I have a pair of "Oxfords" that are really very short boots from The Flat Head and I'd bet yen that they were made by Rolling Dub (for TFH). Sizing is always an issue with high-end Japanese goods so unless you have the language it's no small matter getting any of this right---I'm offering simpatico to those looking at Clinch but S&S has nailed sizing for me every single time and they will go to every length to help you get it right. I can't say enough about those fine folks. And their social justice concerns are my concerns too.

If anyone is looking to pick up a pair of RDT, both Butterscotch and Tempo are doing preorders now, delivery around Sept/Oct.
Tempo has 15 styles you can choose from, I'm gonna order the Casper boots from them ($650 plus free shipping)

So, uh, my Lofgren Engineers have the back stitch coming undone a bit. Something I need to worry about? and is this somewhat easily fixable if I send it to my local cobbler?

Also posting up pics of Lofgren since I'm already doing that. Need to wipe and clean them but that probably is gonna happen after I'm done with peak season here.

Wore my Flat Head engineers today.

I know it's recommended to go 1 full size down from your brannock, but I purchased both 1 and 0.5 down and honestly feel the proper sizing is 0.5. Going 1 full size down had my toe pretty close to the tip (I'd say less than 0.25 in of space).

For reference, I'm a 9.5 D/E and bought both 8.5 and 9. Honestly prefer the 9.. Just thought I'd share this information since sizing info is scarce on these.

Does anyone have any experience on how the John Lofgren last 140 fits? I am considering these monkey boots: https://secondsunrise.se/collection...monkey-boots-cxl-black?variant=33011630145589
My best fitting shoes are on the Alden Barrie US10.5D, but I've come to the conclusion that US11 would be better for me, and the next pairs I am ordering will be in that size. My forefoot/toe box is wide (have used barefoot shoes for years in other activities), low instep / low volume feet and narrow heel. The monkey boots look to be quite narrow, but then most posters here say that JL boots are often very large to size...

Hey there. I love my JL Monkey Boots. Soft like butter & no break in.They kick ass! I'm a Brannock 11.25 with narrow feet. My Vibergs are 10.5 & my Alden Barries are 11. My JLs are 10.5 & I wear thick socks with them, mostly Chups. Thin socks make the fit a bit too loose. With thick socks the Toe Box is sightly larger than I need but not in a bad way. The heel is good snug & not loose. I'm very happy with the boot & the fit.

It looks like I'll only ever be able to admire the Rolling Dub Trio Gleaners from afar – I emailed ButterScotch and said RDT is only allowing them to go up to 10 with their orders. Even with the large sizing, I can't ever see fitting into that.

RIP
