Now I'm looking at the Lofgren Capitan. Is olive a crazy color to get?

The JL Olive Capitan's are great, picked up a pair last week. They fit nicely between the M-43 Natural Roughout and Dark Brown Wax. Perfect for when you don't want to go to light or to dark. Now I'm looking at the Lofgren Capitan. Is olive a crazy color to get?

In the Capitan and M43's I take a size10.5 compared to my John Lofgren Engineer's I'm a size 11. As a reference my Brannock size is in between a 10.5 and 11.. I could probably go down a half size in both, but my preference is to have a roomier boot than to snug. .Ok but there's those m43s I was looking at (wax brown).
Noting what has been said about the fit of the m43, how does the 210 last of the Capitan? And how does it compare to the 110 engineer last, if you know?
Yeah I’ve had most of these and tried on the others and they all have their merits and drawbacks in style and fit. Obviously they’re all super high quality.
I’d say if you’re looking for a dressy service/heritage style boot, don’t sleep on the Alden 379x. It’s a Japan favorite. Brogue Shop, Leffot, and Dashing all carry some. Brogue Shop carries a ton of dressier 379x boots.
Did they recommend any sizing advice? I've seen more or less a split decision wether to go half down or TTS on 379X. Be curious to hear your thoughts on fit. I still need to head over there and get something on Modified. After much consternation I went with this pair from Moulded Shoe, on the 379x last:

Not to say I won't continue to covet Japanese-made boots. I just don't see myself needing but one pair for the foreseeable (or so I tell myself).

Sadly, even Alden is now reaching the point where I'd really have to think and justify buying even knowing certain lasts work really well for me. It seems like anything half way decent though is roughly now in the $700-1k range easy.I took a guess at half-size (plus, for my left foot) from Brannock. I'll let you know how that goes.
Side note: boots have gotten really f*cking expensive out here.

Saphir Invulner is the best, but likely you don't need it. Suede is fairly robustAnyone have a preferred method for waterproofing your suede boots? Run-of-the-mill spray-on is what I'm used to, but wondering if there's something that's better for the leather.
