since everybody hypes them up i was gonna try one to see, but two probs:
    1. can't remember the website
    2. i've been on it before and remember there are way too many things to measure. how do you guys get the right fit when it asks 55 questions?

Why not just get Land's end shirts? They seem to be pretty good.

www.jantzentailor.com Don't know about the measurements but you can send a shirt that you like and they'll copy it.

Lance, they only include the measurements and options that you need to make a perfectly fitting shirt. In reality, the measurements take all of 5 minutes. www.jantzentailor.com Please dont' anybody compare it to Land's End MTM.

I agree with johnnynorman3 - the measurements take only a few moments. I used the shirt I like the fit of most and measured it... I made only one minor change since that first order and have been very pleased with all the shirts I've ordered from Jantzen.

obviously you're not a shirt guy. telling them your height, weight, and neck/sleeve size is not going to give you perfectly fitting cuffs or shoulders. it won't give you the exact length you want.

i'm sure you realize that one of your shoulders is lower than the other and that one of your arms is longer than the other. (you're not a freak, everyone is like this.)

    the more measurements the better.

Jeez, I would have expected a greater attention to detail from you. The measurements take a couple of minutes, tops. You already have your neck and sleeve size...I'll also assume you know your chest and waist measurement as well. Hip: it's about the same as your chest. Shoulder: it's about 1/2 your chest size, less 2". Wrist: your wrist is probably bw 7-8" Length: use your coat length less 2"...probably around 31" for you. Done and done. So if you don't want to actually measure, use the numbers above and you'll get a shirt that probably fits better than RTW.

I tried communicating with them via e-mail and I haven't received a reply from them. Does anyone knows an e-mail address from them that works? Or do they just don't reply (I refer to Jantzen shirts... I would love to try them... But their website doesn't help me that much).

Lance, did you end up ordering a shirt? The measurements were really no big deal at all. And if you're off by a bit, it's a small investment as it is worth it for all subsequent orders.
