I think's safer to email full details for each order rather than rely on Ricky's keeping of your previous order details

My three cents...ordered three shirts in June, never received confirmation email (and in fact already forget what three fabrics/details I even requested), was charged for all three shirts last week, and have not received anything yet. Sent Ricky an email less than an hour ago and have incredibly high hopes this turns out because I have been having good luck with him of late.

As far as measurement changes becoming the norm that's what seems to have happened to me. I shrunk the wrist size on my shirts after the first order and all subsequent shirts have come in with the new measurement. Now, from that base set of measurements, if there's something special I want done I just write in the single measurement to be changed and in the comment section I make a second reminder that "such and such a measurement have been changed".

My card was charged on 24 August. Nothing yet. I am hoping any day now...

Not convinced things are any better in terms of reliability yet, but oh do I hope.

For those that placed and received orders recently, when was your card charged? Just before receiving?

Are none of you concerned Jantzen's website doesn't use SSL? I mean, you are entering credit card information into the form...Or are you using those disposable credit card numbers?

nope. You can call him and give him your credit card number (or fax it) if you're concerned

I've used disposable credit card numbers on both of my orders, and I've never received a shirt, so maybe thats the culprit..

My experience is that they expire before Ricky gets around to charging them, which leads to further delays. He asks for a new number, I supply a new one, he confirms a week or two later.

If (1) you are in the US, (2) using a real credit card (not a debit card), and (3) the card is a consumer, not business, card, you have next to nothing to worry about. Max liability, if I remember correctly, is US$50 so long as you timely report any charges that were not yours.

Also, there's no SSL when the 19-year-old server wanders off with my credit card at a restaurant.
