1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Oh, hmm. I thought you'd be talking about flat black fabrics. Based on those pictures alone, I'd go with #114.

    Just wanted to bump this old thread. I am looking for a good black fabric for a casual "going out" type shirt to wear with Jeans. The black linen from Jantzen was a bit too "shiney" for my taste.

    What about this one?

    French Oxford #53, Jet Black French Oxford Cotton, 110's, 2 Ply,
    100% Italian Cotton

    Any more experience with Jantzen's blacks?

    I wouldn't get a oxford for a black shirt, only a plain weave.

    There is a black herringbone with white stitched stripes that feels very soft after a wash. Also in white with black stripes .
