First of all, thanks to all for having such a great forum...I've really learned a lot from all of you these past few months. I've spent hours using "search" here researching my 1st Jantzen purchase and just completed their order form. Needless to say I am still not sure about several things and will appreciate your input/clarifications/opinions on the following:

My main question is about the collar. I chose Collar # A3, (3x 1"5/8) Model Simi Spread Collar hoping that it is somewhere between a "Regular Pointed" and Spread collar. I guess my questions are: Is that right? and, Do you think this would be a good choice for me?

My other questions regarding material choice are: Some materials are listed with HKD $310. Does that mean there is a surcharge of HKD $310 for this (essentially doubling the price of the shirt)? I chose Jantzen #1285, Lilac Herringbone with Blue Checks, 100's, 2 Ply, 100% Italian Cotton. Any comments/caveats on quality?

Also, for background regarding opinion of collar choice, I'm 5'8" about 145lb in an average build. Tendency towards European SB cuts in conservative patterns with heftier knit ties 4 In Hand. Picture is from about 10 years ago but still a good representation.

Thanks again for all the help!

Others here are better equipped to help you with collar style, but as for the price of the shirt the 310 represents total price rather than surcharge. I just ordered and received 4 shirts, of which at least 2 or 3 were the more expensive fabric, put MOP buttons on all 4 and I think it was $183 for the bunch. I refuse to post pictures of how well they fit me for fear of driving up business and ruining his turnaround time.

As for fabric, I have no experience with the one that you posted, however I have done better with herringbones and other 'patterned' fabrics than on those without as some of the 'plain' surfaces tend to be rough or papery. FWIW on a sample size of about 25 shirts or so....
