James Bond Trailer SKYFALL- Tom Ford wardrobe

Bond didn't really go overboard with gadgets until Thunderball. Even in Goldfinger the gadgets were plausible apart from the Aston (the mods to the car in the novel were more realistic, though perhaps not on an Aston per se).

Generally, I enjoyed Skyfall, but it seemed like a "reboot of a reboot" which seemed unnecessary to me. Plus it had a lot of tropes from superhero movies and spy tv shows like 24 and Spooks, when the tropes from previous Bond films and novels would have sufficed, as they always have.

Hopefully the wardrobe in the film will extend the life of the tight suit trend as that way I will save money...

I thought Feinnes looked good if you're 50 years old.
The Tom Ford choice was probably an error. Could another designer done something better? Yes. But how much did Tom Ford pay to get his suits into the film?
I did like Bond's over coat though.

From what I've heard and read he didn't pay anything. Like Brioni before them they didn't pay to have their suits featured they were picked by the costume designer and or actor (Daniel craig personally requested Tom Ford for QoS). You can pretty much tell which brands paid to be featured i.e unnecessary close ups of the watch when driving. And which ones didn't i mean besides a garment bag lying down on the bed with the brioni wording barely visible and a split second shot of him taking his tuxedo off showing the brioni tag and same with tom ford in QoS you never really see the brands. Besides if it was about money Armani who was also considered for Goldeneye would have beat out Brioni

I loved the movie too. I'm a big bond fan, movies and novels, and I definitely felt it was top three of the movies.

really? i liked the movie but not to the point where i was dying to see it again like with Casino Royale or Goldeneye. I mean i enjoyed sky fall but i really wouldn't be bothered if the next time i saw it was on blu ray/dvd next year unlike with CR where i was dying to see it again.

Its funny because on first viewing I enjoyed Skyfall more than Casino Royale for a number of reasons, but I would prefer rewatching CR over Skyfall any day.

The Portofino Cuff always looked good on the suave but masculine Sean Connery.

Mr Craig could also pull this off without looking a dandy.

Speak English. They're called Turnback cuffs.

To take this argument to its illogical conclusion, I will email Frank Foster and ask what he calls them.

I'm really digging the peacoat. Apparently the one used in the Bond film was last year's model in a navy (which is available online only, although backordered till mid-Jan).

Stores have the same jacket this year but in black for $100 more since it is current season. And it has brass buttons (rather than horn).

They're prob both easily versatile - but black or navy??

Is it by Billy Reid? Anyone knows where can i find online?

Which English? There may be a few more but the list below hopefully indicates that a regional view of the way words should be used is not always helpful and definitely not superior (although we all like to think it is) they all mean...
Thank you for listing all of these.
