Saw these yesterday:

I like them a lot, but dang they're expensive. Designed by Tom Ford for the movie.

Saw this at a local bookstore the other night:
Bond on Set: Filming Quantum of Solace

Lots of shots of the actors between takes. It'll probably become the standard reference for identifying clothes from the film ("who makes the socks bond is wearing while sitting on the director's chair on page 123?")

Here's the Hollywood Reporter review.

It concludes:

Which is pretty much how Fleming wrote him, as I recall.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed on this one. It may be a letdown after CR, but I like that they're not wimping out and serving up more of the standard Bond formula. For once, something that happened in a Bond movie is having consequences.

Fair enough- Craig is quoted as saying "give him some time" to grow into the Bond that people expect. He's signed on for at least two more filmsa and wants to reconstruct how Bond got to be Bond... so for this movie we get "young, angry, confused..." and still the hair-trigger killer he was trained to be.

I can't wait.

Love the cover and interview in the new Men's Vogue.

Only four more days to go now, though I must remember to watch CR before once again, Its always nice to freshen up ones memory.

The last thing I want to do is wear a custom Brioni (a la CR) or Tom Ford suit to a dingy AMC theater. I'll end up with popcorn butter all over my butt and gum under my lobbs. Very un-Bond like.

I'm guessing Oliver Peoples feels the same way. These look almost exactly the same as the airman as shown in these picture.

That said, the pair of sunglasses Daniel Craig is wearing in the movie still when he's running up the stairs are Oliver Peoples Airman.

From the Oliver Peoples Website As seen on:
Oliver Peoples Website http://www.oliverpeoples.com/op_framed_faces/index.html
second on the top left, James Bond stills, Oliver Peoples Airman.

It is doubtful that Oliver Peoples is incorrect about it's own frame.
