Why does it have to be so expensive?
Spoo could probably get you that for half the price.
Damn, that guy did his research, bought Tom Ford tie on ebay and flipped for profit. His feedback showed that he sold 4 already, $950-$1200.
I think his claim is outrageous, only 10 made, but these tie can be easily found on ebay...
i think i have like 5 or 10 bond ties
I don't know if he's flipping them. How else would he have the swatch?
The swatch is just a picture, could either found online, took a picture in store/hollywood display/even taken or bought from ebay, but this guy knows his stuff. Plus he is not providing the swatch with the sale.
Very nice tie. But not 1800 nice.
I have a Charvet tie that looks very much like this and I paid much less than $1800 for it. But it didn't appear in a Bond movie .
And is less smelly and sweaty for it.
I have a super cheap Hugo Boss tie that looks similar:
edit: okay on closer examination it doesn't...:/
the swatch is available in the bond forums, this guy i think his name is bruno keeps selling these ties and scarves
Who in their right minds PAYS THAT MUCH for a tie!
This is the reaction of 99.99% of the population; but for those making 50 million plus dollars a year; $1800 is equivalent to someone making $50,000 buying a tie for $1.80 (if my math is correct). Being able to brag up your Tom Ford tie over your friend's Tom Ford tie would be worth that to some.
Except i would bet that the people who bought it on ebay are not making 50 million per year.
Unless they were looking for a Tom Ford / Bond prop tie?
