Now that QoS has come and gone, talk is already on the writers beginning scripting in January 2009 for the next film.

Any speculation here on title, characters, plot? Do you think Craig will stay on? Tom Ford? Will Q come back? Was QoS Judy Dench's last turn as M?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1074638/

Personally, I'd like to see the Bond in NYC short story utilized.

Craig is contractually signed, and he seems pretty content with the part. I assume he'll be back. I'd hate to see them have to try to replace him.

"007 in New York" contains a good recipe for scrambled eggs, regardless of whether you serve them on individual copper dishes.

"Scrambled Eggs James Bond"
For four individualists:
12 fresh eggs
Salt and pepper
5-6 oz. of fresh butter.

\t
Break the eggs into a bowl. Beat thoroughly with a fork and season well. In a small copper (or heavy bottomed saucepan) melt four oz. of the butter. When melted, pour in the eggs and cook over a very low heat, whisking continuously with a small egg whisk. While the eggs are slightly more moist than you would wish for eating, remove the pan from heat, add rest of butter and continue whisking for half a minute, adding the while finely chopped chives or fines herbs. Serve on hot buttered toast in individual copper dishes (for appearance only) with pink champagne (Taittinger) and low music.

My two cents.

Craig says Bond 23 will be his last outing. I am pretty sure that the producers will per$$$uade him to come back for at least another. Apparently, QUANTUM is the new criminal organization for the coming movies, like SPECTRE. I, personally, would like to see a stand alone Bond movie, rather than Casino Royale III. If they do a stand alone movie, Q and Moneypenny will be in the next one. If it's another Casino Royale-Quantum of Solace continuation movie, then they won't be. I think Judy Dench will come back as M. (Originally, Dench had said she wouldn't come back as M if Pierce Brosnon wasn't back, and we know how that went.)

I know that Ford's 3-picture, $100 million deal is now over (Die Another Day thru QOS.) I would hate to see James Bond end up driving a BMW (again) or Porsche rather than the (Ford-owned) Aston Martin DBS for 23. (Side note: that is such a sweet car.) As for Tom Ford, I have no idea if that deal was only one picture. Daniel Craig looks great in a suit, so I'm not worried about who the designer is for the next flick.

With the assumption that the next movie will be stand-alone, of the remaining Ian Fleming's short story titles, I like Property of a Lady best. I've also thought that Bond 23 could just be simply titled: James Bond

Word is that the next Bond film will be done in 3D, a-la Avatar.

Apparently they are trying to get Sam Mendes to direct.

It's going to suck like most Bond films.

I like Craig as Bond, so it's just a matter of whether the story is up to snuff. Didn't think much of QoS, but I enjoyed Casino Royale (exception being that it really annoys me when movies include a hand of poker where someone's ace high flush is beaten by a full house which is beaten by four of a kind which is beaten by a straight flush, or some similar such nonsense.)

As some who once got a royal flush on the flop, it's ^^^ a rare occurrence, but it is possible.

Got one on the turn myself once at the Tropicana in AC. I'm not arguing against the possibility of a straight/royal flush, but the odds of having one in the same hand as another flush, a full house, and a four of a kind are astronomically low.

Someone calculated it. Le Chiffre was more likely to be struck and killed by lightning than those hands turning up all at once.

Doesn't detract from the movie, though.

Eon Products has stated that the film is on hold due to MGM's sale. Right after that MGM put a statement out that there were no delays. According to several news sources, Sam Mendes will direct the film. MGM started entertaining bids last Friday (15th). But I've heard that those bids are underwhelming at best. Craig has the same contract that Dalton and Broz had. It is a 3 picture deal with an option (Eon's option) for a 4th film. Any additional films would be on a film to film basis. Hopefully this does not end up like the drought from 1989-1995. I think the earliest the film would be released is November 2012 the way things look.
