@sebastian mcfox
the Taos look fantastic on you. Maybe the weight is throwing off your perception? If you’re not happy with the look I can’t argue but they’re pretty much a pert fit from my POV.

@sebastian mcfox before you return the Enzos, I would try them with these outfits. I think the frames will look better with dark tinted lenses, rather than half tints. But I think these outfits will help balance out the shape and size of those frames better than the retro-styled summer shirt.

@sebastian mcfox Yeah Taos was a long shot they might look cool, I agree there are better options for you. The ones you called Fellinis look a little less angular than fellinis maybe millino's. Agreed with Dieworkwear though they both should work for you.

@dieworkwear It's amazing how the beard has entirely changed what glasses do and don't work for me. I get to go for a lot more of the fun stuff these days its nice.

Interesting. I have the Enzos in Eclipse and they come with sienna lenses, and I feel they make everything too dark like sunset, which is prob great if you’re in a very sunny environment like Florida or California. Guess being in Chicago where it’s fairly cloudy often times, I find that I reach for them less or reserve them for bright summer days. Was thinking of putting a lighter lens similar to agar or a gradient similar to Lava PCHs (just hesitant to spend another $200+ switching out the lenses!). Now I wonder if that would be a good move. I’ve found Enzos look great on folks as clear lens opticals.

You don't coordinate your tints with the solar cycle in your region? We might have to rescind your admission to this thread.
We’ll that’s what I’m debating! Put easily, I just don’t like the original tint.

Umit AW22 is amazing, as always, but figured i'd post it here as he himself is a big JMM fan (and of oversized vintage frames in general) and he styled the lookbook with JMM. The Taos looks are my favourites:

Last fit is very Margiela. Im the only person I know that actually wears a scarf as a shirt but it’s pretty great, highly recommended

I almost always stick to the gold hardware with some type of brown/yellow/orange lense cause it makes my days look more tropical and I’m all about that

@dieworkwear is this what you had in mind re Enzo silhouette? Agree a darker tint would work better. Excuse the quick and crappy mirror selfies

Yes! I think the first photo (suede jacket) looks better than the previous photo (retro-styled summer shirt) because it fills out the silhouette and helps the glasses look more proportional.

And I think the second photo (navy coat) looks best of all. The coat is even bigger than the suede jacket, esp with the collar popped. Everything feels more balanced -- hairstyle, big coat, big glasses.

With the retro-styled summer shirt, I would do a more classic pair of frames like the Mollino or Fellini. Would have a cool 1950s Hollywood man on the beach vibe.

Thanks for the feedback! I think I’ll return these Enzos and look at a different colorway, maybe a brown with a darker lens or marquina
