So, I set aside willpower and common sense yesterday, and ended up purchasing the Hopper Pepper, despite the fact that I don’t/didn’t much like Dennis Hopper, and the fact that I typically exercise greater shopping control than this. It is my sense this frame is hard to come by, the shop took a pretty penny off the price, and it is a handsome piece: thus was the rational I fell mercy to.

Three frames in three months. THREE!!! And, I have always been a small eyewear guy. I’d be awfully ashamed, but I am too busy admiring my nifty new spectacles.

Those are niiiiice. Don’t second guess having purchased them. Unless you’re heavily in debt.

Lookin at picking up my first pair, any recommended online stockists? I unfortunately don't have a retailer near me.

I've ordered from a few places, and like Dan Deutsch Optical and Gogosha so far the best. Dan Deutsch's website is pretty straightforward and they just use stock photos. But their customer service and follow-ups have been great.

Gogosha has this try-on service, where you can put $250 down and try something like 6 frames at home. Your deposit is not refundable, but it stays as store credit and you can put it towards a purchase. Service there was also excellent and they can do custom tinting (like unusual gradients or colors). If you know you'll wind up with a pair, it's easy to just go through them and try multiple frames, then keep the one you like the most (with the $250 going towards that).

Montanas in Vintage Tort (with switched out polarized G15s). I see the hype around this color, and I'm glad I finally got this, though I need to be more thoughtful with my clothing choices when wearing this. I feel it definitely meshes better with lighter colored clothing.

Twelvesixtynine is by far the best stockist in my opinion. Their service is great, and you can get a free case. They'll text you if there are issues or anything.
