Depends: No, no too big. I think the Yves are supposed to be "too big". Compare to pictures of the master himself. If you think his glasses are too big on him, than yes.

In you case it would also be easier to judge from a little further away. This kind of close up always "distorts" frame sixes

Agree that you need to hold the camera back to get a better view of proportions. When you hold the camera up that close to your face, it distorts things.

Alternatively, you can also do a "mirror selfie," so that your standing in front of the mirror and take a photo of the mirror's reflection of yourself. Easier to get some distance that way.

Agreed they are supposed to be a “ hey I’m here and I’m big statement ! Lol” when I wear mine it always takes a few to get used to them. But I love them !
