I think the shutter shade similarity and the fun colors (not black or vint tort) do sort of make them look like cheaper shades. In a way I really dig that, the yellow or blue have a fun sort of "grabbed these last minute in a market stall cause it was sunny" vibe. So they're incredibly well made shades that don't instantly say 'expensive' like some of the more austere JMM materials. I hope we see more wild colors in the future!

that's fair and i didn't really think of that angle. JMM for me always comes off as an extremely aspirational brand so my view has been to make what few purchases i plan to "count" for lack of a better word. that someone just loves JMM and wants something fun is a good point.

What's everybodys favourite classic black frame?

As much as I like the Enzo I just find I'm wearing them less and less since they're so heavy so I'm probably going to sell those and replace them with another black frame in a similarly classic shape. I was thinking shadow or shadow 2 in the Molino, Dealan or maybe Noir Kaine?

I already have Zeph 47, Taos and the Enzo. And I have some argyle Sturges pre-ordered and Dark Havana Felini on the way.
I've tried the Molino before and they worked well but were kind of boring, now that I have other bases covered i don't mind "boring". I also had Dark Havan Dealan which worked pretty well too and tbh I don't know why I sold them? To pay for the Zephs maybe?

I was thinking about ordering Enzo in either black or Argyle. Are they really that heavy? I have the Fellini and they are fine for me weight wise. Enzo is just a touch bigger.

Anybody daily deveaux/Loewy? I’m thinking of getting them as my main prescription but am worried about them being too heavy for daily use. I currently have moscots for daily but I may sell them to get these. Not sure.

I don't find my Devaux heavy at all, but that is just my opinion.

My Devaux weights 55 grams. Perhaps compare that weight with your frames?

I wear the Enzos and the Saints. The saints are smaller and for sure a bit easier to wear. The Enzos can make my ears a bit sore after a long day, but I might just need to slightly adjust them. The metal frames killed me for some reason, I was very sensitive to how the thin metal arms dug into my ears.
