I was told that the Prudhon will be shipped later this month, but the store didn't know the exact date. I assume that the shipment will contain the other new models.

Does anyone know who or what inspired JMM to call them "Prudhon"? Pierre-Paul? Vincent? The wine... Him being French I'm sure it is not just a misspelled Proudhon, as in Pierre-Josef . Although that would have impressed me much more...

Supposedly named after Pierre-Paul Prud'hon, but I don't know why besides Jerome's interest in Romanticism.

Hmmm I doubt we will see this brand on yoox. They sell out and I haven’t seen a single retailer mark any pairs down (I could be wrong). My local dealer has pairs from 3yrs ago and they have yet to mark anything down.

I think MrP and End has marked it down before. Matches has 15% off on rakuten right now.

End's prices are actually cheaper than JMM's own site.

There was a crazy sale someone posted here months ago at one of the boutiques. Before JMM was getting big, Mr P. had a seasonal sale where a couple pairs were something like 50% off (I remember the Sheridan with clip on was like $250 or something obscene) but I doubt we’ll see that again. End and Matches Fashion have had sales as well rarely.

But all in all I think you’re right. You won’t find Last Frontier or any of the new “classic” models on sale easily at all.

They had a full circular silver hat band the last go round with an arrow and turquoise. It was gorgeous but even I’m not daft enough to blow a grand on something like that for a hat I would wear all too infrequently.
