Exactly. JMMs are only limited in the sense that they put numbers on their products. Otherwise, all seasonal fashion is limited too. It's just all hype/marketing so that you might pull the trigger sooner so you don't "miss out" on a release.

No designer produces an infinite number of units of any model. Most don’t market the number of units produced as a way to induce customers to infer “limited edition” status. Does Margiela publish the number of 5 zip leather jackets each season?

JMM appears to be very much attuned to consumer psychology and capitalizes on it. 500 units of Dealan in Noir somehow gets people going vs simply Dealan in Noir.

I had a boss who was always trying to have me sell old no name designer clothes on ebay. They'd still have the tag attached and he'd say "see these cost me $200, they must be worth $500 now you can't get these". It took a long time and a lot of no interest listings to convince him they'd barely sell for $30.

Let´s keep mining the JMM cryptocurrency. I am about to pull the trigger again with a the Fellini in Rover as the price is going up so fast, hahaha.

Why the Fellini in Rover?

Has the PCH traded at $2,000? Or only listed there?
Still listed, not sold. And... there is also Fellini Rover on there as well for $800.

The way that it was explained to me is that the Rover on the Fellini is slightly different than other Rovers (blends to a clear cream color on the arms etc)

girlfriend, screaming: you spent all our rent money on sunglasses!?!

me, calm and wise: I have a feeling that both the PCH and Fellini in Rover are going to significantly rise in value for a while

Pshhhh in 5 years my PCHs are going to fund my dream villa in St. Barths....or maybe the mansion being built on top of a Tiffany’s here in Palm Beach...if I play my cards right and offer up my Fellini maybe I can get both

I've never seen any JMM frames actually sell for over retail, so it's probably wishful thinking. Apparently people frequently think their beanie babies are worth thousands because people will list them on eBay for 100x their actual value.

I sold my Enzos on the bay for $300 above retail. I can’t explain why though. The guy said marry Christmas and hit the BIN. You can def get what you paid or a bit more with good pics I’ve found. The Dealan collab in that ice grey color also sold for me above retail. You could probably put up something like the PCH and get at least 1k right now

Sure, some JMM designs might be worth more than retail right now, but trying to predict which ones will be seems as fruitful as trying to predict the stock market. Some of my "not limited" Louis Vuitton items are worth more than retail right now, some vastly less. And in 10 years, I'd bet all will be worth vastly less.

Just so you know, you guys are single-handedly responsible for this **** show (not my temporary lack of impulse control).

My wife is probably going to divorce me and take the kids, but let's be honest, my temples will look splendid at the weekends when I come to pick them up.
