Tried on around 8 pairs of acetate JMM sunglasses today. The only frames that suited my face were Enzo and Felson. Purchased the Felson in black and got a good deal on a pair of Persols in a slightly reddish tortoiseshell pattern.

Now need to figure out what colour Enzos to get this spring when I have space to put more sunglasses through insurance.

I’ve had some JMMs from a shop in Florida called Edward Beiner. Got a mailer saying they did a special exclusive run of only 50 Jax and 50 Molino in ‘marine’ blue with bronze lenses. Got a chance to check them out today but decided to pass as the blue frames are so dark as to look almost black. I’m pessimistic that the upcoming ‘royal’ blue Dealans will be similarly too dark for my expectations. Checked out some other JMMs but didn’t pull the trigger on any. Slightly disappointed I didn’t see any that got me excited but tempered that with smugness at my self restraint!

I think the Royals will be lighter and the temples at least a bit translucent like these, which I’m patiently waiting for (sorry for the repost of this pic)

I feel like I could put 5-10 frames in the last slot, though. Really hard to pick between Dealan, Zephirin, Sturges, Enzo, PCH, and a couple others I’m sure I’m forgetting.
