I tried them on and liked them. But then I was more drawn to the slightly more unusual styles. The Mollinos look nice, but they're expensive and slightly Wayfarer-ish. The Wayfarer also fits and flatters a wide range of people.

You know, I think this really sums it up, and likely why I initially passed them up for the Dealans and Fellinis. The Molinos are indeed nice, but perhaps not unique enough I guess for what I would want in $500+ frames. I think there is more of an angularity to the Fellinis that drew me to them.

At first glance I’m not feeling the Walker either, perhaps more because of the colors. But more pics and time may very well change my mind.

Some good comments there about the Molinos.
I tried a couple of them on the other week and really like them but as I keep saying, my preference leans towards the more conservative end of the JMM spectrum. I also totally understand the thought that if you’re lashing out the neck end of $600 you don't want people thinking you’re wearing boring old wayfarers, you want to make a statement that you’re into a totally different breed.

I have those three frames, and the Molinos are my least liked out of the bunch. The Fellini looks like a better version of the Walker, but the Argyle looks really nice

I had a similar opinion. I had tried on the Dealans and the Fitzgeralds along with the Fellinis and all fit well. But the guys at AA said in so many words “if you’re paying this much, go with something that’s more distinctive.”

I think he meant JMM ‘Buffalo’ a streaky grey shade, not actual buffalo horn frames??

On a closer look with this 360 degree view thing, I’m digging the Molinos more. They are strikingly similar to the Fellini, but seemingly subtle differences in the eye shape and temple. Anyone with experience with both? What’s your take on similarity/differences in look and fit?

The Fellini temple is larger than the Molino -- I prefer the smaller temple on the Molino.

The Molino gives me 60s vibes, similar to the Ascari, whereas the others seem either 50s (Dealan) or 70s (Enzo). Compared to the others the Molino is boring but still a bit distinctive, so I like wearing them with a proper suit.

For some reason they also look a bit retro-futuristic to me, although I can’t put my finger on why.

What I mean to say is that while the frames absolutely have a 60s vibe to them, I also see a little nod to the Debbie and White Light aesthetic. It goes well with tailoring but I think it looks good with leather jackets and tees, or even Rick Owens. It’s probably the least “directional” which is both a strength and a weakness; versatile but unremarkable.

Maybe their compatibility with suits is what appeals to me as I’m one of them standout weirdos who still regularly wears suits! I think those with the exposed engraving and wire cores down the temples is what set them apart from more pedestrian wayfarer-ish glasses.

Same here. I tried a few on and I’m leaning towards shadow and the grey one (can’t remember the name) but I’m a bit put off by the ‘dark purple’ lenses which I doubt are dark enough for me which is why I was asking upthread. I tried them on in a shop in a mall which didn’t give me the chance to step outside and see how they were in direct sunlight.
