The 2nd and currently only other pair of JMM I have is the Taos Noir 3. I got these with some Red tinted RX lenses, however I’ve been debating changing the lenses to something a little easier on the eyes in the bright sunlight like a dark brown

New to the brand and I'm enticed. I have pretty much only Cutler and Gross sunglasses, how do they compare in quality?

Anyone know where they have the largest variety of JMM sunglasses in the NYC area?

I can’t say for a fact THE largest, but Visionary Optics has always seemed to have a decent selection.
The best collections I’ve seen in any shops are at Eyes on Chagrin in Cleveland and Gogosha Optique in LA

I’ve only ordered from the webshop but Atelier Mira seems to have a large variety.

Anyone here also a fan of Blake Kuwahara? I’ve met him once and have a couple frames, one of which I wear pretty much daily. He’s genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever met

I was pretty loyal to C&G for years and have two pairs of JMM that I recently received and there is no contest to the superiority of JMM. 99% of what I own from C&G is chunky acetate frames (probably 15-20 pairs) knew everyone in the NYC store and my ex worked with them for a few years as well. Sure they have some cool stuff, the bespoke stuff is neat also, but once I had the JMM Taos in my hand I knew I would never go back to anything else. It's just heavier, not in a weight sense but in a craftsmanship way. These things are works of art.

Love his frames! First saw them in SF 4 or 5 years ago. Unfortunately, just haven't found the one of his collection that fits my face... not his fault, more of of an ugly face issue :)

So I received the Zephirin 47 Yellowstone from Mira and I'm going to return them. The temples are very wide at the tip and do not hold my head well. The temples actually angle out (they're wider at the tip than at the front), so I wonder if that's not a pair that was modified for a previous customer.

At least I know my face fits in the 47.

The temples bend out akimbo on my pair as well, but fit my face perfectly from an aesthetic point of view. As I mentioned earlier, you can still have an appropriate fit and have some outward bend in the temple (you see it with certain shots of Goldblum). If they’re loose, you can take them to an eyewear shop and have them adjusted. Unless you don’t think they look good on you.
