The colors on both the Molino Army and Fitzgerald Sage are a lot less saturated in real life than in the ideal studio pics. I could have done with a stronger shade of green on the Molino but they still work.

Just picked up the Fitzgerald Yellowstone I ordered a while back. Here are a couple pics, last one also showing the Molinos: View attachment 1435479 View attachment 1435480 View attachment 1435481
These both look good.
Fitzgeralds as stated above quite Wayfarerish
Molinas similar but a bit more angular.
Do the Fitzs have glass or plastic tinted lenses?

BTW I realise for many people “once you have Jacques you never go back“, but for anyone looking for a more vibrant green I have some Moscot Hymans in emerald green with grey tinted glass lenses that are a great looking pair of geggs. Substantial acetate, nice shape ...

Edit - just realised that might have come off as a sales pitch. I’m not selling them but you can get them at Moscot. Very underrated brand of shades IMO!

@Adroit - Those Fitz Flash look much more vibrant than on the JMM site. The Molinos look great in Havana too.

@Thin White Duke - The Yellowstone collection has polarized glass, which is either rare or unique in the JMM line up. I think it is meant to be Jerome Mage's hat-tip to the Wayfarer, that JFK was known to wear.

I find the Yellowstone value prop such that I just might have placed an order for the Zephirin Yellowstone...

Cheers matey, interesting ... although when I did some brief internet research for my blog post on sunglasses some time ago there were some musings online that JFK’s were American Optical or possibly some other brand ripping off RayBan!

I don't know anything about JFK's actual sunglasses, tbh, but it seems pretty clear that Mage's intent was a hat-tip to the Wayfarer. Maybe it's a second degree hat-tip...

Thanks. The Fitz Flash comes with a VERY light lens that, IMHO, does not sufficiently diminish sunlight. Therefore, I replaced the lens with a darker green.

For those of you with JMM glasses for a while, how do you use the case? You you just slide the glasses in the case? Do you wrap the cleaning cloth around it and put it in the case together for protection? I've never had glasses or sunglasses with this style case. Although I appreciate the leather and all, it just seems like a much worse solution than the ole clam shell.

@Adroit Great collection, how do you find the fit on the Byrons? I wasn't sure if the frames were on the small side like on the Zephirins.

I made my own soft leather sleeve with a button top. I also use a tanner goods case

Thanks. The Byron fits great. At 48/22, it is within my sweet spot for JMM acetate (47-51). You mentioned the Zephirin. The standard Zephirin 44 is small and much smaller than the Byron. However, the Zephirin 47 is meaningfully larger – this is the model I own. The Byron and the Zephirin 47 are similar in size and fit.

The Byron does a great job of blending the acetate frame with the titanium temple. I love the way the temple merges with the frame at an angle.

Can anyone translate this engraving on the temple:
