That actually looks pretty good. If you plan to wear them like that, I think those frames look great on you.

I generally think of JMM as slightly 1970s sleaze, although those frames you're wearing are pretty "safe." (IMO)

My wife told me on Saturday that my Sebergs made me look like a 70s Pornstar! ?

Are these the Sartre? These look fantastic, and style wise is definitely more my vibe.

These are the Beauvoir kind of a sister frame to the Sartres if you will. The Sartre doesn’t have this color way unfortunately. The Beauvoirs are rounder and didn’t work out for me, I find that square and aviators work best for me so soon as the Sartre comes out in coffee I’m in!

Still like the Fellinis the best.

Don’t they have beveled edges?

Yes very cool edged bezels, you can see it better in pics on the Havana but it’s hard to capture on the tan if you aren’t holding them

Molino RX in Army, here without lenses. I plan to make them into readers. Apologies for the scruffy look, I’m just back from a week away and it’s been a long day. Too big?
How's the bridge fit on those? Mine is pretty narrow...

Those don't look too big at all.
Definitely not for the aesthetic most of us are going for here. I think technically, as that small timer early in the thread was saying, you don't want the edge of the frame to extend past your cheek. But I think that's one of those rules that must be broken.

I finally got word on my Nokona order - so they should be shipping today.
I added the Dealan in Havana 4 to that order, and also ordered the molino 51 in Havana 3 to try out.
Hopefully one of those 3 will be a keeper. Maybe even 2 of them.
Otherwise I plan on trying the Sturges, and either the Taos or Zephirin after that.
I want to try as many as I can before I leave the US and they become final sale.

@RegisDB9 do you have on face pics with the Sturges? Or any comparison to anything else? Like a rounded Enzo?

side note:
That Dean Delray podcast was a ******* nightmare. I was interested in what Jerome had to say but that host sucked so much. I couldn’t get through it.

Cant find a straight on view anywhere, I’ll see if I have time to take a pic

Just discovered this fantastic thread!

Just picked up the Fitzgerald Yellowstone I ordered a while back.

Congrats. The Fitzgerald Yellowstone is a special piece and looks great on you! MUCH darker on the face as compared to against a light surface, which is typical.

I would not qualify the Dealans as "safe" (as others in this thread would agree) - they are very cateye-ish. That being said, no reason not to try them.

Fitzgeralds are closest to Wayfarers, in my opinion. Molino is "safe", I suppose, but large, as their frames tend to be. As DWW and UrbanComp would recommend, you might look at the Jax - the combo of angular and rounded lens may allows for easier accommodation.

Could not agree more. I have tried on the Dealan several times, but always balked. It is very "cateye-ish" (good term) and borderline feminine (although Daniel Craig would disagree).

The Jax, Fitzgerald, and Molina (51 – 55 is too large for me) are among my favorite acetate JMMs, and all three definitely are “safe” and easy to wear.

I came over from Mykita and Cutler & Gross which both felt like Walgreens twirly thing sunglasses compared to JMM

Same here. Once I discovered JMM, many of the other respected brands lost their luster and desirability. I still wear Matsuda, Mykita, Mr. Leight (yesterday), Lindberg, Barton, etc., but I find myself reaching for my JMMs with far greater frequency, while many of my other sunglasses gather dust.

I think it's hard to shop for JMM online because the styles are a bit bolder and you won't know how you feel about a particular model until you put it on your face.

Agreed. With brands like Mykita, I am pretty good at predicting how they will look on my face. Conversely, with JMM, there are many instances where I thought the model would be a winner – e.g., the Dealan – but the reality on my face was very different.
