Just looked at the site and there’s a new frame with the clumsy title ‘All These Nights’ in amber which looks much more orangey than the black and yellow version you show in this pic.Yes, old Amber and Lava are very similar.

With the Kaine one of the best frames on you, in my eyes.
Yes, I just posted a pic comparison between the two different Amber colourways, where it appears, as you said, that the new one is more orangey, more similar in my view to the natural amber.Just looked at the site and there’s a new frame with the clumsy title ‘All These Nights’ in amber which looks much more orangey than the black and yellow version you show in this pic.
BTW could anyone tell the difference at five paces between Dealan and All These Nights? They look like a very close version.
Yes, I recently experienced this myself with a pair of Fellini, that I obviously returned. As I see, that pair should never have left the factory. At the prices they command, JMM might ensure a better quality control.Anybody ever notice that sometimes the product photos for some frames look like the particular frame they're shooting should have never cleared QC? Great example is the Thundercloud in Argyle - arms are nowhere near even. Can't imagine how wonky these would actually look on the face. Hopefully that frame never made it into the wild. It's a nice frame, with 55mm lens pretty large, but not getting excited about it. A classic shape though, nothing wrong. The new Lankaster is up on the site.
Yes absolutely I have noticed this on many of the production shots. Dirt and grime, discoloration of hardware, asymmetrical detail and of course the most obvious, the lens colors are never accurate but I suppose post production has a huge influence in that.Anybody ever notice that sometimes the product photos for some frames look like the particular frame they're shooting should have never cleared QC? I'm of a similar opinion, except the web descriptions note they all come with polarized lenses. Hopefully this is a sign of change as I'm sure many other people might prefer having this addition. It's a nice frame, with 55mm lens pretty large, but not getting excited about it.
