I said red vs metallic burgundy, you said burgundy vs Bordeaux. The point is still the same. They are not the same color. IMO, not even similar other than the fact that they are both different shades of purplish red or reddish purple.
Nobody stated they were the same color. The question was, can anyone speak to the differences between the two. You made your judgement call based on looking at user photos, I made my call based on having owned Reserve, and I'm only guessing on the Empire just as you are. At the end of the day, we all see color differently ;)

I own reserve as well. And tomorrow, I will own Empire. There is a difference between a guess and an educated guess. As I said, I have seen many customer photos. Some inside, some outside, some in darker light, and some in brighter light. I am pretty confident when I open my box tomorrow night, there will be no surprises.

And by asking "What's the difference between two things?" there is an inherent presumption of similarity. After all, why would someone ask what the difference is between a fish and a bicycle?

Either way, it's not worth arguing over, so I'll just leave it at that.

Not a metal guy, I don't have any titanium frame, but have to admit that this looks strong, very "sleazy".

So: yet again a collection that it’s a pass for me. Mainly because it’s just too expensive, and I couldn’t care less about the box (actually I hate it, I live in a small flat like most people in my country so I don’t have room to spare), I’d rather pay for the frames.

I hate to say that for a moment I almost fell for the “12mm acetate”, mainly the Devaux. If they had released the Taos I’d been tempted.

OTOH I find it super funny that when Meta released their AI glasses everyone was like “well those look goofy as hell, they’re too thick” whereas us JMM fans are like “wow that’s some thick acetate, 12mm!”.

Zuckerberg got his hands on the JMM 15th anniversary prototype in 14mm acetate.

I totally agree, too much focus on packaging, which is nice but unwieldly and impractical.

12mm acetate sounds substantial, but really better than 10? Perhaps too heavy?

Anyway, I will pass too. Also because I don't see a colour to fall in love with.

Nice, I won't deny, especially the Walker in Rover is pretty much my taste. Not worth the horrendous extra mark-up though.
Just my personal opinion.
And the Walkers are not even 12mm, they’re just regular Walkers in Rover colourway which has been around for ages, just not in this frame. I guess because regular Walkers are already very thick. 2x the price for the box basically.
