Curiously, very seldom used the Walnut colourway, classy and refined, one of the few colours that look good in opaque in my opinion. I have the Walker.

The Evans.

Absurd for the money tbh.
Agreed. I can see paying premium for a newly released frame that has been long discontinued, like the Borodino. Otherwise, the higher prices, weekly releases, and complete lack of interest in the new frames overall are making me look elsewhere.

I’m looking at getting a William for everyday optical frames. Even so, many independent brands have a similar design/look for much less, and might even fit better.

That said, the 10 year releases are supposedly being released soon. We’ll see what’s new.

Totally concur…… if you do get some William I’d love to see some on head shots as it’s a model on my radar…..cheers

A few pics of frames I tried on today. Looking for a daily optical frame. Thoughts?

JMM William in Havana. I think these would make a great all day optical, titanium temples. Ideally would like them in the London color.

JMM Moscova Hickory. Nothing special. Fit seems right.

Vintage USS frames, matte black. They came in a size smaller that were less raised at the front ends. Kind of liked the smaller size, forgot to take a pic.

Vintage American Optical frames, glossy black. Wayfarer type frame. Not sure they would be a good optical.

In order of preference 2-1-4-3.

As opticals and given your colouring the less severe the better. The shape of 1 and 2 look similar but the lighter tort on 2 suits your colouring better.

I’m not a fan of black wayfarer styles for opticals. Too much American nerd / Austin Powers for my liking. Also the catty sides of the frames seem to work against the contour of your face but of course there’s variance on how that compares to reality given focal length distortion of camera phones.
